Clover Retribution Codes (September 2026)

September sat between two anniversaries and before the Star Magic update, which makes it a useful month to look back on: the pool was almost entirely anniversary and community codes, and none of them had anything to do with the content that landed in October.

What the pool looked like

• !anotheryear and !almostanotheryear — 125 and 150 spins, two separate commands with confusingly similar names
• !grims2ndbirthday — the random 250-350 bundle
• !legogame and !itsover9000 — two 225 and 125 spin joke codes from community events
• !quickcodeshop — the 125-spin all-rounder
• !thanksgivingstuff — a seasonal code that outlived its holiday
• !iactuallywantedtokens — five anniversary tokens

The chat-box problem

Nothing in Clover Retribution tells you that codes are chat commands. A new player looks for a settings menu, finds nothing, and concludes the game has no codes at all. In September that was the most common question we got, and the answer was always the same: click the chat button in the top-left corner and type the exclamation mark first.

This is also why so many “expired” lists exist for this game. A code that fails because you typed it without punctuation looks exactly like a code that has been turned off.

The exclusivity trap

The choosetrait / chooserace / choosemagic families lock each other out. Players who redeem one without reading end up permanently locked out of the other two, and there is no undo. In September the 17 series was the live one; in October the 999 series arrived on top of it.

If you are unsure which to take, take the category you cannot farm. Race spins come from ordinary play more generously than trait spins do, so trait is usually the right answer.

Tokens, not spins

!iactuallywantedtokens pays five anniversary tokens, and tokens cannot be bought. Five of them is not a small code — it is the only free route to anniversary items after the event closed, which is why we list it high even though its number looks tiny next to a 225-spin bundle.

Two habits worth keeping

Copy instead of type, because the exclamation mark is easy to lose on a phone keyboard. And redeem the timed double-EXP codes at the end of a session rather than the start, since the clock runs while you are still in menus.
